The Haka: Origins
Yawning Bread Sampler is usually a controversial read in Singapore, and this dive into the history of the famous Haka (refer to the All Blacks – Rugby), is not without its scandal in stating that rugby can be homoerotic. This, however, is not the point of my reference to this link, as I found it quite an interesting read on the origins of The Haka, and found the closing statement an interesting perspective on this history:
And somehow, they’ve made that tale of hiding from one’s enemies into a battle cry for the national rugby team.

No time for the Haka, the All Blacks are too busy licking their wounds after their premature departure from the World Cup – ho dear how sad.
