Dearest Husband is nuts about cars… so I thought I’d throw this one in… courtesy of Ridelust, here is where the name Volvo came from:
In Latin the word Volvo means “i roll”. The circle with arrow of the Volvo logo is the symbol for iron, which was used to make Sweden’s main industrial product of the country back in the day: steel.

I like the BMW logo myself – and was totally surprised when, years ago, I found out what it meant.
