Singapore Trivia

Telephone KeypadIn response to David’s request for more trivia, I decided to keep in the theme of postings and look at trivia related to other posts… so today’s dose of trivia is about Singapore!

Did you know…

Apart from Monaco, Singapore is the most densely populated country in the world, with 6,430 people per square kilometre.

8 in 10 people in Singapore own cell phones. In fact, telecom companies issue new numbers at the rate of 30,000 to 40,000 per month!

YesBut – you may have a point there, but having said that, mobile phones are an addition here – there is so much infrastructure (you can surf the internet for free from your mobile phone in a number of places in Singapore).

;) And just because you are tightly packed, doesn’t mean you are packed up next to the person you want to talk to!!

Cuckoo – yes the number of mobile phones in Singapore surpassed the number of landlines some time back in the late 90s!!!

If they are so tightly packed, why do they need phones?
Are they too shy to speak face to face!!!!

Best wishes YB
