My husband and I do almost everything together. We work in our business together. We go home together every night. We eat and socialise together, and he loves to shop more than I do! The togetherness that my DH and I share, even after 7 years, is something worth writing about.
Like every marriage we have our ups and downs, and sometimes we fight with the same passion that we love with. Sometimes, especially lately, I have not appreciated how lucky I am with my life partner – for that is what he truly is.
Having said that, I know that tomorrow I will probably do something that will irritate him – but that’s me – however, in my marriage in the last month I have started to learn the value of a real partner.
And he makes me feel wonderful.
It doesn’t matter the situation, I am always “his girl”.
If I sleep in, I am “sleep-in girl.” If I get a new mobile phone, I am “new-hand-phone girl” (mobile phones are referred to as hand phones here). While at djembe practice I can be either “drumming girl” or “band-camp girl” (’cause one time, at band camp’ – American Pie movie reference). It doesn’t matter the situation – good or bad (I can sometimes be “fight-with-her-husband girl”) – I will get an SMS (text) or a smiling affectionate “girl” statement, that makes me feel adored.
To DH: Love you, babe!
